Today's stage began optimistically despite the changed plan.
Some worries have caused today's news related to the attacks in Syria. We were mainly concerned with the flight towards south of Syria. After the flight over Cyprus, the air traffic control demanded that Matevž continues the flight to the RASDA point and to Egypt air route, which is intended for flights under the instrumental rules. This slightly extended the route, but the wind kept blowing from the north, the north-west, and despite the long overtaken route, he reached the target within the planned time. Matevž also had some problems with an indication of electric current, which has led to some doubt and insecurity during the flight across the sea. We also had problems with communication via a satellite phone because the telephone line was quite disturbed.
The next stage is scheduled the day after tomorrow. Matevž is expected to fly through Saudi Arabia to the United Arab Emirates. Follow us regularly for new information!
Matevž bo predvidoma letel preko Saudske Arabije do Združenih arabskih Emiratov. Redno nas spremljajte za nove informacije!
