Diploma of achievement, issued by the Federation Aeronautique Internationale (FAI), was awarded to the Slovenian pilot, Matevž Lenarčič.
Matevž is experienced long distance flier. He has flown for more than 3500 hours all over the world, mostly with his ultralight airplane and other single engine airplanes.
He was awarded for World speed record on category C1-b, when he flew from Capo Verde to Martinique, on 28th of March 2016 and for the flight from Kota Kinabalu to Colombo Bandaranaike International Airport Sri Lanka, on 15th of April 2016 during his 3rd solo Round the World Flight. Ratified speed records represent a significant achievement.
His flight around the world was a very complex to prepare, as well as final data editing and the evidence for reaching speed records.
The pilot and the team needed several months to collect and arrange all the necessary evidence for enforcement records.
